Using Artificial Intelligence in Publicly Funded Research Projects

Delivered as part of WAITRO’s capacity-development programme for international collaboration, this training examines the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence across the life cycle of publicly funded research projects. Dr Fatih Sinan Esen explains how artificial intelligence can support funding-opportunity discovery, partner searches, strong international consortia and proposal development. The session also addresses the technology’s benefits and limitations, the areas where human expertise remains indispensable, ethical and legal responsibilities, artificial intelligence agents and artificial intelligence labs.
